无效民事行为指已经成立的民事行为，严重欠缺民事行为的生效要件，因而自始、绝对、确定、当然、永久地不按照行为人设立、变更、终止民事法律关系的意思表示发生预期效力的民事行为。
但对于因此类无效民事行为而引发的法律后果，各国规定却不尽一致。
