文化风俗是新精神分析学家卡丁纳提出。是指用于表征文化单位的操作性、功能性概念。某一特定团体拥有的思想或行为的固有模式，团体成员都必须认同的规范性准则。分初级风俗和次级风俗两类。前者指儿童出生时面临的最基本的行为规则的总和，如基本规范、母子交互作用的文化方式、哺养方式、儿童训练、父母对儿童的态度、家庭和团体的组织形式、性禁忌等。它们构成个体人格结构的文化基础。一般较稳固，不随社会经济条件的变化而变化。
