位于江西省德兴市。唐、宋年间已经开采，用湿法炼铜(见胆铜法)。1956年开始普查勘探，发现有两个大型斑岩铜矿区，并伴生有钼、硫、金、银等元素。1958年5月成立德兴铜矿1965年建成北山矿,地下开采;1971年建成南山矿，露天开采。德兴铜矿具有储量大、矿体埋藏深、矿石可选性好、综合利用组分多等特点，是中国重点铜矿之一。
