所谓弘法，指的是僧人内修外弘之法，一边内修体证，一边外弘以资大众踏上解脱之路，乃至于了脱生死。作为一个出家人，主业就是内修外弘。也可泛指与宗教有关的传播，推广。也可以是“自觉觉他”的“觉他”或是“自利利他”的“利他”。
