席曼诺夫斯基(Karol Szymanowski, 1882-1937)波兰作曲家。1882年10月6日出生于蒂莫斯祖卡（现属乌克兰）一个波兰贵族家庭。早期在家受到良好音乐教育，1901年至华沙进行正规音乐学习，随扎沃斯基（Zawirski）学和声，随诺斯科夫斯基（Zygmunt Noskowski）学对位和作曲。1927年应邀担任华沙音乐学校校长，全身心地投入到培养波兰新一代作曲家工作中。繁重而紧张的生活使他的肺结核恶化，不得不于1929年去疗养。疗养期间，他还撰写了关于音乐教育的论文。1930年被任命为华沙音乐学院院长。1937年3月24日，席曼诺夫斯基逝于瑞士洛桑疗养地。
