嵌甲是很痛苦的足部问题，是趾甲板外缘或内缘或侧角嵌入甲沟皮肤，可引起局部疼痛，当甲缘突破皮肤时细菌侵入可导致甲沟炎，修剪趾甲不当仅为其中的原因之一，多见于大脚趾内侧。
结果战士嵌甲症的发生与指甲修剪不当、穿鞋质地和松紧、高强度训练及外伤有关。
