手部肌腱损伤多为开放性，以切割伤较多，常合并神经血管伤或骨关节损伤，也可发生闭合性撕裂伤。肌腱断裂后，相应的关节失去活动功能。如指浅屈肌腱断裂相应指近侧指间关节不能屈曲；指深屈肌腱断裂，表现为远侧指间关节不能屈曲；指深浅屈肌腱均断裂，则远近侧指间关节均不能屈曲。由于手内肌仍完整，掌指关节屈曲不受影响。伸肌腱不同部位断裂，其相应关节不能伸展，并可出现畸形。
