天幕毛虫，Malacosoma neustria testacea Motsch，为枯叶蛾科天幕毛虫属的幼虫，因为吐出的丝织成的茧很大，很像帐篷，所以叫天幕毛虫。天幕毛虫颜色鲜艳、多毛，它们非常活跃，喜欢吃阔叶树的叶子，往往会变为害虫。在美国，仅有少数几种蛾的幼虫是天幕毛虫，这些幼虫中，最常见和最具破坏性的是东方天幕毛虫。
