土壤基质(Soil matrix) 地表岩石经风化一成土作用形成的由小于0.01毫米的矿质和(或)有机质颗粒组成的物质。是形成土壤的基本材料。它不同于原来的岩石(或称母岩),形态、性质均已变化。既非土壤,也非岩石,带有许多母岩特性,长期影响着土壤肥力的形成和发展。
