回转角度通常是指臂式堆取料机悬臂梁在水平面内转动的角度范围。通常定义在初始位置为与大车轨道重叠时为零度，向左转为（+），向右转为（-）。一般堆料机可达±150-160º。取料机最大时可达±170º。堆取料机由于尾车位置的限制回转角度一般可达±100º。回转角度的大小会影响到设备悬臂可堆料或取料的相对于设备的角度位置位置。 .
