【呼吸根】（air root 或 pneumatophore）是变态根的一种。长期生长于沼泽地带或水边的植物，由于土壤中空气缺乏，造成根部呼吸困难，为适应这种环境，一部分根背地向上生长，露出地面，适应于呼吸。这类根有发达的通气组织。表皮又有皮孔。如广东沿海一带的红树和生长在水边的水松等。
呼吸根是对充满水的、通气性差的土壤的一种适应，使得根能够进行气体交换。
