变形结构(deformational texture )是指原岩在应力作用下，当压力超过岩石或矿物的弹性极限时，便发生塑性变形。如应力超过其强度极限时，则发生破裂和粒化作用，形成各种变形结构。岩石或矿物在受应力超过弹性限度时，会发生变形作用，产生变形结构。应力大于弹性极限时会产生脆性变形（一般在浅部低温低压），岩石所受压力超过塑性弯曲强度时会产生塑性变形（一般在深部高温高压），产生不同变形结构。
此类轴承有开式和闭式多种变形结构。
