单点系泊源于英文“Single Point Mooring”，是指海洋工程船舶通过单点形式系泊在另一个固定式或浮式结构物上，船舶围绕该结构物可以随风浪流作360°回转，由于风标效应，被系泊船舶将会停泊在环境力最小的方位上。对海洋油气开采来说，它同时必须具有流体输转功能。
