分层空时码是贝尔实验室提出的一种基于多入多出（MIMO）传输方式的空时码系统，主要基于空分复用思想,它的主要目的是提高系统频谱效率。因为是贝尔实验室最先提出，所以我们在英文缩写时都要加一个B，为BLAST。
