《保险公司管理规定》于2009年9月25日以中国保险监督管理委员会令2009年第1号发布，根据2015年10月19日中国保险监督管理委员会令2015年第3号《关于修改<保险公司设立境外保险类机构管理办法>等八部规章的决定》修订。该《规定》分总则，法人机构设立，分支机构设立，机构变更、解散与撤销，分支机构管理，保险经营，监督管理，附则8章80条，由中国保监会负责解释，自2009年10月1日起施行。2004年5月13日中国保监会发布的《保险公司管理规定》（保监会令〔2004〕3号）予以废止。
