侧向测井是指一种聚流电阻率测井法。它通过电流聚焦的方式，迫使主电极电流不能在井眼中上下流动，而只沿侧向方向呈水平状流入地层，把井孔的分流作用和围岩影响减到最小，测量结果能较好反映远离井孔的深部地层电性特征。
