《优质稻谷(GB/T 17891-1999)》是为了适应我国粮食流通体制的改革，为商品稻谷收购及市场流通过程中按质论价提供依据，促进稻谷种植结构的调整，有必要制定优质稻谷国家标准。本标准是在GB 1350—1999《稻谷》基础上制定的，增加了优质稻谷的特性指标。本标准的附录A、附录B、附录C是标准的附录。
