企业道德责任是指企业在生产经营活动中自觉履行伦理准则和道德规范。企业道德责任是较高层次的社会责任，分为内、外两个方面：从企业内部来讲，主要包括善待员工，关注职工生命安全和身体健康，改善工作环境，保障职工合法权益，注重职工事业成长，让职工分享企业发展的成果；从企业外部来讲，包括遵守商业道德、平等交易、诚实守信，以及尊重自然、保护环境、珍惜节约资源能源等。
企业社会责任的类型不仅仅是法律上的，而且包括道德上的。
