书塾是私学的一种，是古代青少年真正读书受教育的场所，学塾一般都是地方或私人所办，因此清代学塾发达，遍布城乡。塾师多为落第秀才或老童生。学生入学年龄不限。自五六岁至二十岁左右的都有，其中以十二三岁以下的居多。学生少则一二人，多则可达三四十人。
它原名书塾培训中心，是一家教育慈善机构，诚挚服务于想在出版领域取得杰出成就的人们。
