中国黄金协会是2001年经国家经济贸易委员会和中华人民共和国民政部正式批准和注册登记的全国性社团组织。中国黄金协会英文译名为CHINA GOLD ASSOCIATION，缩写为CGA。协会是由黄金勘探、生产、加工、流通企业、投资企业、科研院所和与黄金相关的企事业单位、社团组织等依法自愿组成的全国性、非营利性、自律性社团组织。 2022年12月，民政部发布2022年全国性社会组织评估等级公告，公告中显示中国黄金协会为5A级。 [1]
