中国出版协会是中国出版界自愿结成的全国行业性社会组织，是为出版行业服务的非营利性社团法人。 1979年12月20日中国出版协会的前身中国出版工作者协会在长沙成立；2011年4月18日经中华人民共和国民政部批准，中国出版工作者协会更名为中国出版协会。 根据2019年2月中国出版协会官网显示，协会下设8个部门，25个工作委员会，5个直属单位。
