《民族文学》是我国唯一的全国性少数民族文学月刊，由中国作家协会主管、中国作家出版集团公司主办。自1981年创刊以来，共发表5000余万字的小说、诗歌、散文、评论、报告文学作品。我国少数民族作家已近万人。《民族文学》30年的辛勤耕耘，对推动我国多民族文学事业的繁荣发展发挥了重要作用。2011年1月12日，《民族文学》杂志创刊三十周年庆祝大会在北京民族饭店举行。
