湖南、广东和湖北都有桃花湖。湖南省桃江县境内的桃花湖为桃花江源头，方圆万余亩水面，蓄水量达7000万立方，是桃花江森林公园一颗璀灿明珠。广东省清远市清新县桃源镇内，离燕子岩大约1公里路。桃花湖面广阔，湖岸线长20公里，水库深度约37米，湖水明净如镜，四周群山环抱。湖北省十堰市茅箭区马家河中游的桃花湖，距市区15公里。因湖岸盛开桃花而出名。此外，有同名电影（1930年）。
