吃春饼是中国民间立春饮食风俗之一。在一些地区(东北、华北等地区)立春有吃春饼的习俗, 春饼是面粉烙制的薄饼,一般要卷菜而食。 最早,春饼与菜放在一个盘子里,成为“春盘”。宋《岁时广记》引唐《四时宝镜》载:“立春日食萝菔、春饼、生菜,号春盘。”从宋到明清,吃春饼之风日盛,且有了皇帝在立春向百官赏赐春盘春饼的记载。明《燕都游览志》载:“凡立春日, ( 皇帝 ) 于午门赐百官春饼。”到清代,伴春饼而食的菜馅更为丰富。人们备上小菜或各式炒菜,吃春饼时随意夹入饼内。立春吃春饼有喜迎春季、祈盼丰收之意。
