手抄报，是指新闻事业发展过程中出现的一种以纸为载体、以手抄形式发布新闻信息的报纸，是报纸的原形，又称手抄新闻。在中国唐代就有各地驻京“邸吏”主持抄发、以地方官吏为主要对象的手抄报，史称“邸报”。现存于英国大不列颠图书馆的敦焯邸报《进奏院状》，抄发于公元887年，是世界上现存最早的报纸。 在学校，手抄报是第二课堂的一种很好的活动形式，具有相当强的可塑性和自由性。手抄报也是一种群众性的宣传工具，它就相当于缩小的黑板报。
