开滦矿区，位于中国河北省唐山市境内，隶属于开滦矿务局，京山铁路纵贯其中，各矿都有支路相通，交通便利，光绪三年（1877）清直隶总督李鸿章委派轮船招商局总办唐廷枢创建官督商办开平矿务局，开滦煤矿在近代工业史上占有重要地位，解放前其总部曾设在天津，是北方的大型煤矿之一。 2018年1月27日，入选中国工业遗产保护名录（第一批）名单。
