abstract:EM Telemetry is a method of transmitting data from a measurement while drilling (MWD) assembly that resides just above an oil well drill bit. The MWD assembly may contain various measuring instruments such as a Gamma Ray Tool, Resistivity Tool, Directional Survey Instrument, or others.
