abstract:eSite is a hybrid power management system that can work as a standalone unit with a backup generator, or with any combination of grid and renewable energy sources such as solar or wind, to power telecom base station sites in areas where mains electricity is either unreliable or unavailable. Created by the Swedish company, Flexenclosure, a developer of hybrid power systems and pre-fabricated data centres, powering base station sites with an eSite can reduce the use of diesel fuel and related carbon emissions by up to 90%.
