Sussex Police have said homeless people using an "overspill" encampment of tents on the other side of the A27 frequently put themselves at risk on crossing the hazardous dual carriageway.
Conversely, travellers with Israeli citizenship or dual citizenship between Israel and another country are not allowed to enter via the Allenby Bridge crossing and must enter via the Ben Gurion International Airport.
