abstract:District Assemblies and City District Government were introduced in 2000 by Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf. Musharraf announced holding of Community Government elections, which began from December 2000 at Union Council level and come to a completion with District Assemblies, elections on July, 2001.
The 16th Assemblydistrict, which encompasses Oakland and the neighbouring towns of Alameda and Piedmont, had long been under the firm control of Democrats.
Assemblyman Anderson represents AssemblyDistrict 77, which covers East County San Diego and includes all, or parts of El Cajon, La Mesa, Santee, Jamul, Alpine, Ramona, Borrego Springs, and the City of San Diego.
