The website explains the programme aims to recruit approximately 500 volunteer mentors and befrienders in various locations in the UK to support Remploy employees who may require specific support - from developinglifeskills through to help finding work.
The workshop will provide an opportunity to assess the key achievements, lessons learned and challenges from the process of developing comprehensive lifeskills curriculum on Sexuality, HIV Educative Prevention (LSHEP Curricular) in 2012 and to produce recommendations for implementing the LSHEP Curriculaumincluding setting up a monitoring and evaluation framework.
This is no doubt part of developing social skills between genders, but I am sure that this addition to school life could be avoided by attending single gender schools without significant detriment to inter-gender social skills in the long term.
