Article 1 For the purposes of strengthening the protection, growth, development and rational utilization of fishery resources, developing artificial cultivation, protecting the lawful rights and interests of fishery workers and boosting fishery production so as to meet the needs of socialist construction and the livelihood of the people, this Law is hereby enacted.
