abstract:Derrick Smith is a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives representing the 10th District from 2011 until his removal from office in 2012 and then reelected in November 2012. Smith was appointed to his position in March 2011 when his predecessor, Annazette Collins, was appointed to the Illinois State Senate.
