'Wow' I thought to myself as I walked through the front doors of my new school. South Beach High. My old school was never this impressive... or big to be honest. When my parents moved our whole family from rural Montana to sunny, densely populated Miami, I was expecting bigger, flashier, but nothing like this. And all of the students! I just couldn't believe it. They looked so cool, the girls in short-shorts and tank tops, and the guys in khakis and polo s. As for me, well, I was in my normal dress of jeans, a t-shirt, and sneakers. My hair was up in a high pony tail, and I wasn't wearing any makeup. To make it worse, it looked like no one here had glasses. They probably got surgery done if they needed them, or wore contacts. My family can't afford stuff like that. But they can, somehow, afford to send me to some snobbish private school where all the rich kids go. Just my luck.
