abstract:David Crane (born December 24, 1953, Denver, Colorado) is an American lecturer in Public Policy at Stanford University and Research Scholar at the Stanford Institute For Economic Policy Research. He is also president and co-founder of Govern For California and a member of the State Budget Crisis Task Force co-chaired by former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker and former New York State Lieutenant Governor Richard Ravitch.
