abstract:David Chadwick (23 December 1821 – 19 September 1895) was an English accountant and Liberal Party politician. He sat in the House of Commons from 1868 to 1880.
In Lancashire, Professor DavidChadwick, of Ormskirk, received an OBE for his services to road safety along with Preston's Alan Woods, the chief executive of EnCams, formerly the Tidy Britain Group, who received the honour for his work on sustainable development.
There are other good things from the '50s: sculpture by Reg Butler, Lynn Chadwick and Henry Moore, textiles by Lucienne Day and the classic cutlery "Pride" by David Mellor (which my wife and I chose for ourselves when we married decades later).
