It refers to a restructuring of government and public organizations into joint-stock, publicly listed companies in order to introduce corporate and business management techniques to their administration.
But the Citizens' Health Initiative, a coalition of 45 Malaysian civic groups, worries that corporatization will only mean greater hardship for the less well-off.
