The invention relates to two methods for hysteresis effect adjusting of foot-ruler MR damper, comprising current adjusting method and neutral network fore-casting method. Hysteresis effect adjusting of foot-ruler MR damper is accomplished to decrease or eliminate the controlling effect influence by the hysteresis effect and ensure foot-ruler MR damper is not divergency when it controls the vibration of large project structure. The characteristic of the current adjusting method is current changing directly, controlling stably, simpler accomplishing and with better control effect under the low frequency of current changing. The characteristic of the neutral network fore-casting method is more accuracy for controlling process, wide application and especially applied in highly nonlinear controlling process. Fore-casting time can change as hysteresis changes and the influence by hysteresis effect is eliminated preferably.
