Having left college without completingmydegree, my AmeriCorps education award made it possible to complete my studies while managing the responsibilities of being a single parent.
After receiving my medical degree from Rush Medical College, and after completingmy residency in internal medicine at Northwestern University I became a teaching physician Wayne State University and then at William Beaumont Hospital in Southeast Michigan.
