abstract:Complementarity determining regions (CDRs) are regions within antibodies (also known as immunoglobulins) or B cell receptors where these proteins complement an antigen's shape. Thus, CDRs determine the protein's avidity (roughly, bonding strength) and specificity for specific antigens.
