abstract:A compilospecies is a genetically aggressive species that incorporates the heredities of a closely related species and may even completely subsume that species, rendering it extinct. The concept is based on Bothriochloa intermedia, which is directly or indirectly related to the cytogenetic structure of the genera Bothriochloa–Dichanthium–Capillipedium, an apomictic complex.
