Demand is expected to be 0.3 percent lower than the forecast for the summer of 2012 and the region is expected to have about the same amount of generating resources as comparedwith the peak period in the summer of 2012.
On Thursday, the Air Transport Association, the industry group for commercial airlines, predicted a meager 1% decline in the number of passengers expected to fly in the U.S. this summer, comparedwith June-August 2007.
