Within a matter of weeks, a delegation of senior U.S. officials will travel to Paris to meet with representatives from Germany, France, the United Kingdom and other members of the CoordinatingCommitteeforMultilateralExportControls(COCOM).
What is more, where such constraints have been created (usually pursuant to agreements reached in the CoordinatingCommitteeforMultilateralExportControls, or COCOM), the German government has resisted bringing charges against violators or failed to impose meaningful penalties on those that are found guilty of export crimes.
