Takumi was being ignored by Jen as she talked exclusively to Fallon. I could see him glancing at me a couple of times, but I ignored him. The food was really good, mum had hired a new cook, and I could see why she was paying so much. God, it was delicious. I sighed in contentment, licking the sauce off my bottom lip. I didn't realize Fallon had been watching me, his honey brown eyes fixed on my lips – it bought back feelings I didn't want to feel. Memories that I didn't want to remember. I focused on my empty plate, wishing that someone would intervene. My wish came true.
