This year two U.K. banks, HSBC and Barclays, followed telecoms giant BTGroup 's lead last year in committing to increase its use of renewable or environmentally sound energy.
Another rival BSkyB is facing on the broadband front is BTGroup, Britain's former telecommunications monopoly, which recently launched a digital TV service called BT Vision to all its broadband customers.
Ofcom said Sky was exploiting its market power and would have to cut prices for the channels by 23.4% when selling sports content on to rivals like BTGroup and Virgin Media.
