Only this past week, Twitter has been the main avenue for a campaign for change following the brutalrape and murder of a 17-year-old South African girl.
She was found by a private security guard and died in hospital, in an attack that saw South Africans drawing parallels with the brutalrape and killing of a 23-year student in India's capital, Delhi, in December.
