In 1996 he appeared in the crime thriller The Long Kiss Goodnight, starring Geena Davis, and followed it up with the gritty Britishdrama The Boxer in 1997, playing an IRA hardman.
"Tribes, " starting previews this week at New York's Barrow Street Theatre, is a lighthearted Britishdrama by playwright Nina Raine about a deaf man who decides to learn sign language in his 20s after growing up in a family that insisted he lip-read and try to speak instead, in hopes of assimilating him into hearing culture.
