abstract:Brancoceras is a rather small, strongly ribbed, acanthoceratacean ammonite from the Albian stage of the Lower Cretaceous, the shell evolute with a subquadrate whorl section and rounded venter. The suture forms a finely squiggly line with well defined lobes and saddles.
