The bronze bell is now preserved at the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point,Michigan.

In 1919, at the age of 72, Bell set a marine speed record of 70.86mph on the Bras d'Or Lakes with his HD-4 hydrofoil, a replica of which resides, along with many of his personal artifacts, in the museum of the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site of Canada, across the lake from his house.
Next month, amid great fanfare, the National Museum of American Jewish History opens its doors on Independence Mall, a whisper away from the Liberty Bell.
