abstract:Barbodes is a genus of cyprinid fish, consisting of 11 species. The name is derived from the Latin word barbus, meaning "barbel", and the Greek word oides, meaning "similar to".
Using cladisticsmethods, we studied both outerand osteological characters of 4 fish groups, Cyprinus, Barbodes, Schizothorax (Racoma) and Paracobitis, endemic to Erhai Lake.
